Orlando Aguilar - El Salvador

Orlando Aguilar comes from a coffee producing family with strong roots in El Salvador. He has been focusing on specialty coffees by growing strong varieties in a fertile soil and taking advantage of the local climate. 

The harvest at Buena Vista farm is done selectively and by hand, which helps achieve this great expression of the natural El Salvadorian Pacamara cup – fruity, bold and sweet.

  • Roaster's Notes

    The average farm held by producers in Chalatenango is between 1–3 manzanas in size (1 manzana is slightly smaller than a hectare), and most yield fewer than 20 full-size bags of exportable coffee annually. They predominantly grow Bourbon, Pacas, and Pacamara varieties, and until the 2010s these coffees were only sold on the local market, where they would sell for low prices. Our importer Café Imports have worked closely with these growers for several years, granting them access to a wider market and securing the higher prices coffees with this exceptional quality demand.
