We’re very excited to release this honey processed lot from our favourite Krishnagiri Estate. Himu and Karunya have been experimenting with processing in the past few years, looking for profile alternatives to their classic and delicious washed coffees. The result is a super complex and rich cup we can’t get enough of!

  • Roaster's Notes

    Located close to the stunning Baba Budangiri Peak, this evergreen estate was taken over by Himu and Karunya fairly recently. Most producers in the region grow both Arabica and Canephora (a.k.a. Robusta), with some, like Komal and Akshay, also growing other species like Liberica. Krishnagiri’s higher altitude doesn't allow Canephora to thrive, making their production 100% Arabica. Like all the other estates visited during the trip, Krishnagiri is covered in a multitude of shade trees with a few other crops intertwined. These trees are also home to quite a few rare animals, like the Indian giant squirrel and even tigers from time to time, showing that local coffee estates also function as healthy and biodiverse spaces.
