This natural process Catuaí and Caturra lot is produced by Oscar Chacón Solano, in Sabanilla, Costa Rica.

This growing region is famed for its honey processed coffees, which are characterised by rich yet vibrant cup profiles. This natural lot has those characteristics taken one step further.

  • Roaster's Notes

    In 1988, following the death of Oscar Chacón's father, 50 hectares of land was left to his six children. The siblings decided to change their coffee production system, focusing on environmental conservation, providing stable employment for their workers and keeping coffee culture alive within their family and community.

    In 2006, they introduced natural processing, after an earthquake left the Sabanilla area without electricity and water for an extended period of time, making it impossible to carry out the traditional washing process.
