This washed coffee is a community lot put together with the help of the coffee importer Ensambles, consisting of a blend of the highest scoring individual lots. The price paid by Ensambles is 2 times higher than the local price the producers were getting before and work will continue being done for better prices, stability and education.
Productores de Xochiltepec is a group of 35 coffee producers who came together to share knowledge and experience around coffee. Farms stand at 1,600 masl on average and producers focus on agro ecological practises using their own organic fertilizers, favour traditional varietals and experiment different fermentation times. This washed coffee is a community lot put together with all the highest scoring lots.
