Nicaragua - Los Nubarrones (Natural)

Planted amidst altitudes ranging from 1450 to 1700 meters above sea level, Los Nubarrones grows Java variety exclusively. This variety thrives in the sandy loam soil found in this region, growing under the shade of Liquidambar, pine and guava trees. 
 
This natural lot is bright, fruity and layered!

  • Roaster's Notes

    Los Nubarrones is owned by Mariano Rafael Montealegre Callejas, who purchased the farm in 2010. It operates with three permanent employees and a team of nine seasonal workers during the harvest season, which begins in December and concludes in April.

    Once harvested, the coffee is delivered in cherry to the Cafetos De Segovia mill to be processed.

    Cafetos de Segovia is a dry mill located in Ocotal; a family business owned by a local coffee producer family, managed by sisters Marta and Ana. The mill business was started 5 years ago with the goal of finding buyers capable of matching the prices coffees produced in the area demanded.
