DR Congo – Women’s Coffee Project

Floral, Honey, Black Tea

Super fragrant with a heavy honey and black tea character, this coffee represents the efforts of over 3500 women in the South Kivu province.  This is a great example of the distinct (and delicious) flavour profile we associate with DR Congo.

Roaster's Notes

Purchased through our importer friends Café Imports, this coffee came to them through the famous SOPACDI organisation.  SOPACDI have contributed greatly to the revival of DR Congo as an origin that produces high quality speciality coffee.

They have a particular focus on supporting their female members (paying a premium for their cherries), and have also invested heavily in the infrastructure required to transport coffee from the extreme highlands where it’s grown through the supply chain.
